The Film Festival is presented by the “Hot Springs Arts and Film Institute supporting special programs, independent film, related charities and educational events while connecting Artists, Film Lovers, Filmmakers, and the Hot Springs Community.
HOT SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL HORROR FILM FESTIVAL ( HSHFF) is an independent film festival, conceived with the idea that “filmmakers know films”. Talented filmmaking is not only amazing to watch, it’s inspirational, educational and motivational. HSHFF recognizes and promotes a variety of films in the “HORROR” “THRILLER” and “SCI-FI” genres with categories for professional and student.
An international film festival, HSHFF screens and honors films from around the globe. The Film Festival is full of fantasy, thrills, intrigue, slashers and more… The festival takes place in downtown Hot Springs at the Historic Central Theater. (located at 1008 Central Ave in Hot Springs National Park, AR.)
The past 100 years The Historic Central Theater has been home to movies, live shows and more. Closed and forgotten for decades, (it was dubbed haunted) in early 2000 the new owners renovated and re-opened the venue. The theater is home to the “HOT SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL HORROR FILM FESTIVAL”.

The festival’s Director Bill Volland, (a Filmmaker/Producer) is known for his Production Design, Art Direction and Crane Operations on Motion Pictures, Television Series & TV Commercials.
Bill Volland owner of Leviathan a 32′ Camera Crane built by Universal Studios and used by Alfred Hitchcock on films like “PSYCHO” and “THE BIRDS”… “TOP DOG” “SILK STALKINGS”
The festival’s Hostess and Co Director Tamara Glynn (a Filmmaker) an Actress known for her roles in Motion Pictures, Television Series & TV Commercials.
